Space Blaster is a free top-down neon space shooter for modern browsers. Move horizontally, dodge incoming fire, collect power-ups, and protect three lives while your ship fires automatically. No account is required to play; sign in to join the global leaderboard.

Game Objective

Your goal is to clear as many enemy waves as possible and build a high score from enemy kills. A run starts with three lives. There is no final wave; sign in before a run to submit its score to the global leaderboard.

Wave System & Difficulty

Space Blaster introduces its enemy types over the opening waves, then creates randomized formations. A boss joins every fifth wave:

Scoring System

Scout: 10 points
Zigzag: 25 points
Bomber: 40 points
Tank: 100 points
Boss: 500 points

Chain kills before the combo timer expires. Active combos of 3, 6, 10, and 15 raise subsequent kill values to 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x. Taking damage does not directly reset the combo, but waiting too long between kills does.

Your best score is saved locally as a personal best. Sign in to post to the global leaderboard.

Power-Ups

Power-ups drop randomly from defeated enemies. Grab them immediately — they expire quickly.

Shield — absorbs one hit of damage
Triple Shot — adds two angled shots for about 10 seconds
Rapid Fire — increases automatic fire rate for about 8 seconds
Nuke — clears active enemies and enemy bullets

Top Tips for a High Score

Keep moving — use the full horizontal lane to dodge projectiles and collisions.
Protect the combo — quick consecutive kills are the only route to the 5x multiplier.
Prioritise Tanks and Bosses — they are worth more points and have a higher power-up drop chance.
Save the Shield — it absorbs the next projectile or collision and preserves a life.
Expect every fifth wave — enter waves 5, 10, 15, and beyond ready for a boss.
Sign in — your score is only saved to the global leaderboard when you are signed in. Create a free account before you start playing.

Leaderboard & Accounts

Space Blaster has a global personal-best leaderboard. Create a free account with your email or sign in with Google to compete. Your best score syncs across devices and leaderboard reads may be cached for a few seconds.

Guest players can still track a personal best stored locally in the browser.
